A gas regulating and metering station (RMS) is a facility that is used to regulate and measure the flow of natural gas or other gases in a pipeline. The station is typically located near the source of the gas and is responsible for ensuring that the gas is delivered to the customers at the correct pressure and volume. TBS,DRS,RMS and CMS are commonly used in the oil and gas industry, as well as in natural gas distribution systems.
The components of a gas regulating and metering station include:
Gas supply pipeline: The gas supply pipeline is the pipeline that carries the gas from the source to the RMS.
Inlet scrubbers: Inlet scrubbers are used to remove any impurities or contaminants from the gas before it enters the regulating station.
Gas regulating equipment: The gas regulating equipment is used to control the pressure of the gas as it enters the station. This equipment includes pressure regulators, flow control valves, and relief valves.
Gas metering equipment: The gas metering equipment is used to measure the volume of gas that is delivered to the customers. This equipment includes gas meters, flow meters, and pressure transducers.
Odorization equipment: Odorization equipment is used to add a distinctive odor to the gas to make it detectable in case of a leak.
Control panel: The control panel is the central control system for the GRMS. It is used to monitor the system and to adjust the gas pressure and flow rate as necessary.
